SHARED  INHERITANCE

THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE  INTERNAL LINK VIEWABLE BY SPECIAL INVITATION ONLY

Welcome,

If you are seeing this page, it means you are one of our very special VIP arts patrons who have gotten an exclusive invitation to join us in creating the first edition of an extraordinary public art exhibition that is being staged to become an anual public event.

As a major patron of this exhibition this page will serve as a VIP Salon where we will bring you up close views, sharing the inside story, videos, interviews and moment to moment updates. You will have access to see the work in progress and be the first to get the insider news through this internal privately shared page link.

The documentation that will be published here will only be selectively released after the exhibition has taken place. We are incredibly excited to have you here and hope you thoroughly enjoy watching the sculptures and installations come together.

As someone who has made the commission of these public art works possible, please allow us to use this space as an expression of our greatest appreciation and gratitude to you as one of our most invaluable supporters.

Yours truly,
Emily and Team

RTE PUBLICO

MUSEO DE
AMBIENTAL

Being the first Guatemalan organization in our field to bring sustainably produced large scale contemporary museum-quality works to a greater public, we are making a bold and unconventional move to democratize and decentralize access to art. As forerunners creating a dialogue between ancient civilization, contemporary art, and environmental conservation, our ultimate goal is to raise awareness and draw global attention to Guatemala's rich heritage.

We would like you to join us as we take up this unprecedented groundbreaking opportunity piloting the national integration of museum quality Contemporary Sustainable outdoor Public Art in Guatemala, bringing it to the forefront as forerunners with inauguration in Peten. As a critical calculated measure to create awareness and engage a wider audience in the environmental issues being caused by human activity; while challenging conventional notions of where and how art is experienced, opens up a resoundingly greater possibility for collective change.

Spearheading art without doors, this pioneering exhibition is a radical act that meets the inherent need for socially inclusive equitable formats that decentralise and disseminate accessible to all art to remote rural areas where it has never had a presence before, making it a groundbreaking model example to follow. Set in one of the most ideal locations, with the spender of the Pyramids of Tikal rising in the background, with introduction right in the very heart and epicentre of the Ancient Mayan Civilisation makes it an exceptional location to launch this leading project.

Lake Peten Itza serves as a gateway to the ancient Mayan World. It is a portal for exploring Tikal, and El Mirador amongst other archaeological sites. Seeped in the rich history the region boasts having been the home and capital city to one of the most advanced ancient civilizations in the world. Set amid the natural beauty of the surrounding jungle, these tropical forests harbor one of the few, most intact biodiverse ecosystems remaining on earth.

ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

THE CONTEXT OF THE LOCATION

Promoting Over 4,000 years of Guatemalas rich history

While there are only 40 Unesco Heritgae sites in the world that have both Natural and Cultural Heritage, Tikal and the Mayan Biosphere is one of those rare few. These sites hold exceptional universal value for both their natural and cultural significance, while the clues that have been left from the ancient past serve as powerful reminders of how irreplaceable and important it is for us to preserve them for future generations to come.
